Dra.
Dulia Ortega T(1), TM. Solange Seguel B(2). Abstract:
From its beginnings to present days, ultrasound imaging has been implemented
successfully in medical, interventional and therapeutic applications.
Continuous technical developments improved global medical attention, education
and research. Chile has also embraced this amazing technology. Our pioneers
introduced US in the late 70´s progressing rapidly. US stands up
as a first class examination in our country. Nevertheless, we still have
problems with accessibility and opportunity of US technology in our public
system. Its up to us to find a way to overcome these problems in
a joint effort with health authorities.
